Project values fall into three distinct categories:
Build price – This is to build a turnkey project with all inclusions and additions ready to move into and nothing left to spend.
Planning costs – These include payment of all insurances, ACT Government fees, and legal occupancy certificates.
Site works – These include connecting additional sewage, stormwater, electrical line, and excavation and preparation of a standard block (80% fall into this category).
As an example, the values of the three components to build Design 142 are listed below:
- Build price – $147,386.20 inclusive of GST
- Planning costs – $21,690.42 inclusive of GST, approximately 12% of the value of the total project
- Site works – $12,339.79 inclusive of GST, approximately 7% of the value of the total project
- Total value – $181,416.41 inclusive of GST
